“This Is Not The Ghana We Preach To the World”-Sarkodie Reacts To Ejura Shooting

Rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, known professionally as Sarkodie has expressed his displeasure in the instability in the country that led to the untimely demise of two persons after the youth in Ejura clashed with the Military on Tuesday.

Following the death of the Freedom Activist, Ibrahim Muhammed, also known as Kaaka Macho, the youth in Ejura decided to hit the street and protest to demand justice.

The military was deployed to the scene to calm down the massing youth but events turned out to be bloody after the officers started to fire gunshots at the unarmed demonstrators.

The clash led to the death of two people who were reportedly shot dead by the officers with four others seriously injured in the process.

Sarkodie has added his voice to the tragedy, expressing his disappointments in the current happenings in the country.

Sarkodie feels that the worsening nature of Ghana’s security, as shown by the Ejura Killing, has revealed the actual status of the country to every Ghanaian.

In a tweet, Sarkodie is of the view that the claim of Ghana being one of the most peaceful countries in the world is gradually disrupting due to the instability of the country’s security which has led to the death of some innocent citizens who only wanted their voice to be heard.

He wrote; Definitely not the “Ghana” we preach to the world
