His comments come after two people were reported to have been killed during a clash between the youth of Ejura and the military. It was later reported that four other people were also injured during the clash.
This was after the youth of Ejura took to the street to seek justice following the murder of the #FixTheCountry activist, Ibrahim Muhammed, also known as Kaaka.
Ibrahim Muhammed, who was also a part of the Economic Fighters League and, more recently, the #FixTheCountry movement, was reportedly attacked by a crowd at around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021.
Some inhabitants of Sabonline, a Zongo hamlet in the Ejura district, heard his cries for aid, but they arrived late to find him in a critical state.
He was immediately rushed to the Ejura Sekyeredumase District Hospital after which he was later referred to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Ibrahim was confirmed dead on Monday, 28th June 2021.
Reacting to this, Shatta Wale has stated that whoever initiated the #FixTheCountry campaign has done the campaigners more harm than good.
According to Shatta Wale, the protestor must charge the government to rather speed up with its developmental projects rather than urging them to fix the country.
He further stated that Ghanaians are really suffering due to the instability of the economy but we must maintain the peace we are enjoying in the country.
He took to Twitter and wrote; It’s not fix the country It’s #Youcandobetter To encourage them to be rapid in their doings. Whoever start this fix ting dierrrr ,why you want bring war Cuz Twitter people can fight on the streets ooo We all suffering my guy !! Ghana no easy but let’s respect the peace
