Abia Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has warned politicians to desist from stoking the embers of disunity in the state.
He expressed sadness over the attempt by those planning to succeed him after 2023 to cause disunity and act capable of distracting his administration.
This was contained in a statement on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ikpeazu; Mr. Onyebuchi Ememanka.

In the statement, Ikpeazu appreciated the rights of persons and groups to canvass their political ideas and preferences.
He, however, warned that timing is critical in these permutations and that there could only be one Governor at any particular time.
He assured that when the time is right, his successor will emerge through a peaceful process of consensus and justice, involving all interest groups in the State, reminding Abians that it is God that anoints leaders.
