Raised in a musical family, Akwaboah is certain that the instruction he receives from his renowned father, Kwadwo Akwaboah Snr., will assure his success in every work of music he releases, and this is no exception for his next album dubbed Lighthouse.

During an interview with KMJ, Akwaboah revealed that his father contributed 60% to his upcoming album. He said that he sat with his father and played the song to him one after the other and just by doing that, the legend was able to make all the necessary corrections in the album.

According to him, his friends and others who listen to his songs might not see anything wrong with them but his father is the only person who can identify all the errors in his songs.

“My dad’s judgement about my career is the most important thing to me as a musician. At least someone is able to tell you your mistakes and wrongs so you correct them before you send them outside”, he said.

“The only person who can be real with me is my father, when it is not good he will say it and when it is good, he will say it without making any retractions”, he added.

Akwaboah released a single titled ‘ENSESA’ off the album last Friday and is yet to set date for the release of the album this year.
