Young Ghanaian musician, Nautyca has indicated that for an individual to succeed in the Ghanaian music industry, he or she should have connections.
He made this known in a recent interview he had on the popular Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM when he spoke with Andy Dosty on Friday.
In his submission, he said;
“I have about 6 singles to my credit now. I used to be a rapper. We all know singing songs blow bigger than the rap songs.
I believe I still have some works to do — You’d meet some people who’d add value to your brand and others who take some value from your brand.
In this industry, you’d need connections in order to make it. I am yet to meet the right people in this industry.
Since we are up and coming artistes in Tema, I feel we should get support from the mainstream artistes from the city. However, you still have to try and do things on your own and for yourself.
I have gone to shows that I wasn’t able to perform because my manager wasn’t around to coordinate stuff —and around those times, he was with Sarkodie recording. I spoke about it and @possigee, (my former manager) took it the other way round.”
