June 10 (UPI) — Firefighters in Montana came to the rescue of a young deer that fell into a home’s window well and was unable to climb back out on its own.
The Missoula Fire Department said crews responded to the home in Missoula when a fawn was found stranded in the well for a below-ground window.
Firefighter Blake Meyers of Station 3 was able to hoist the deer out of the window well.
The department said the fawn was safely reunited with its mother nearby the home.
