Former Manchester United defender, Timothy Fosu-Mensah has joined the list of Ghanaian-born foreign players who have visited the motherland following the summer break from club football.

His visit follows an earlier one by Chelsea forward, Callum Hudson-Odoi who has also visited the president and convinced to switch nationality and represent Ghana.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah, sharing a photo of himself present at a tourist attraction in Ghana and captioning “Akawaaba” is being convinced by Ghanaians to play for the Black Stars.

The 24-year-old defender until January this year was plying his trade with English Premier League giant, Manchester United.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah was born in the Netherlands and joined the Ajax Academy at a very young age. In 2014, Timothy joined Manchester United’s youth team and eventually graduated to join the senior team.

Currently, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who has pledged to play for the Netherlands but failed to make it into the Euro 2020 squad, plays for the German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

Will Timothy Fosu-Mensah joined Callum Hudson-Odoi to eventually play for the Black Stars?
