Andre Dede Ayew has left Swansea City after the club fell once in again in the final hurdle against Brentford to secure promotion to the English Premier League (EPL).

Brentford handed Swansea 2-0 defeat on Saturday (May 29) at Wembley for the final ticket to a promotion to the EPL and Dede is more disappointed than any of his teammates considering his exploits in the Championship where his flurry of goals brought the Swans this far.
The Ghanaian captain was at his best for the Swans by ending the campaign with 17 goals. In the previous season, Ayew’s 15 goals propelled the club to the semi-final in the 2019-20 season but that was still not enough to earn them a promotion in a similar fashion.
Swansea City announced that the influential player’s contract won’t be renewed when it expires on July 1.
Ayew actually signed twice for Swansea; once on a free transfer in 2015 and again in 2018 for a sum of £18million. He leaves Swansea for the second time with a record of 35 goals in 106 games.
Meanwhile, the club has thanked him profusely for all the wonderful memories he gave to them. Fans are however not happy he’s leaving and consequently flooded Twitter with warm words to eulogize him.
