Young Ghanaian musician, Kwesi Arthur has indicated that awards are not the main reason why he is doing music.
According to him, although he likes it when he is awarded for his craft, they are not the reason why he does music.

He made this known in a recent interview he had on Hitz FM with the renowned Ghanaian media personality, Andy Dosty.
In his submission, he said;
“I do not really do music for the awards. The people who were nominated, I think deserved it better than those who didn’t. Who do you think deserved to be nominated in the BET: Best International Act Category?
I don’t really have all the answers. All I am doing is putting in the work. The collaboration I enjoyed doing was Confirmed by Darkovibes featuring myself. He already had the song, there was an empty space for me, I just did some melodies and put some words together and it came out great.
If I had all the power, I would love to be making more amazing music, inspiring people, doing more for my community, branching out into others things aside music.”
