Colombian singer and rapper Andres Eduardo Martinez, known within the scope of as MC Dementor, has asked Ghanaian musicians to put in more work into their craft in order to make giant strides beyond the shores of Ghana.
– –
He noted that apart from Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, and Fuse ODG whose songs are played occasionally outside the country particularly Columbia where he comes from, Ghanaian artistes don’t make any further impact.
MC Dementor said, on the contrary, Nigerian musicians have taken over everywhere as they dominate the airwaves in a lot of countries across the world.
“Nigerian music is all over the world, and even in Colombia, they love most of Wizkid and Davido’s songs. We have fans of PSquare and Teni too there.
I have heard Fuse ODG songs in Bogota, and others who like dancehall songs know Shatta Wale. But there should more work so that they are widely known,” he added.
