Veteran Ghanaian movie star, Akofa Adjeani has said that it is about time the African Movie Industry tells our stories through the movies they produce.

According to her, Africa has a lot of untold stories which she believes can be told through movies and highlighted for the global market.
The main reason the cinema business is underperforming is that to a lack of funding, according to Akofa Edjeani, who spoke during the launch of the Mime Africa Awards.
The “Aloe Vera” actress s aid that this initiative will go a long to attract foreign investors to invest in the local movie industry to sell them on the international market to aid the African movie industry to grow.
In other news published on ghgossip.com, Shatta Wale has urged event organizers to explore other regions in the country aside from Accra when searching for places to hold music shows.
According to him, it is high time other communities and cities in the country be considered when planning for shows and awards in the country.
Speaking in his State of the Industry Address, Shatta Wale said that this will give the opportunity for other musicians in other regions apart from Accra to be recognized for their talents.
“It must not continue to happen that all music shows are held in Accra. We must be able to hold big and popular events that happen annually in other parts of the country”, he said.
