“Government Has To Invest 10% Of Sports’ Budget In “-Shatta Wale [Video]

During his State of the Industry address yesterday, Shatta Wale called on the government to invest more into the music industry to attract investors into the country.

“I would like to plead with the leadership of the country to institute an agenda to use music as a tourism tool to promote the country”, he said.

According to him, if government should invest about 10% of sports budget into the music industry because he believes that music is one of the tools that can promote the country to higher heights.

“If the state can spend 10% of sports’ budget on music, I’m sure it will set us on the road to greater heights”, he added.

Shatta Wale further expressed his gratitude to his fans for the support and also the various companies that have conducted their businesses through the SM Movement Empire.

Meanwhile, Shatta Wale has urged event organizers to explore other regions in the country aside from Accra when searching for places to hold music shows.

According to him, it is high time other communities and cities in the country be considered when planning for shows and awards in the country.

Speaking in his State of the Industry Address, Shatta Wale said that this will give the opportunity for other musicians in other regions apart from Accra to be recognized for their talents.
