Also due to covid, I’m not going to lie because I was on tour and I had to come back to Ghana, in March last year. Since then I have just taken the time to work on my album and Slow Down is the first single off the album” he told Pulse Gh.
Talking about his latest song which is a teaser to what to expect on his upcoming album, King Promise said “Slow Down is a story that everyone can relate to if you have ever been with someone, you know… That you are not with anymore at a point in time it gets like that”.
“I like to write music that feels real, you know what I mean. So that was the whole idea, to make sure people can connect to it,” he continued.
When asked why he chose to drop ‘Slow Down’ and not any other song from his yet-to-be-released tracks, the singer said, “I don’t follow trends, I don’t do what’s popping. If you listen to Slow Down it doesn’t sound like anything that’s out there. I like to challenge myself and you know, we sat down and the team thought it was right”.
