The acting inspector-general of police, Usman Baba Alkali has stated that the disbandment of the special anti-robbery squad (SARS) created a vacuum in policing the country.
Baba stated this at a media briefing on Thursday in Abuja.

Speaking to newsmen, he stated that the morale of police officers in the country has been low since the #EndSARS protests in October 2020.
Recall that the unit was disbanded by former Inspector-General of Police, Abubakar Adamu after a series of protests by young Nigerians against the extrajudicial activities of the unit.
