“The Gospel Industry Is Full Of Hatred And Competition”-Selina Boateng Laments [Video]

Award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician, Selina Boateng has expressed her dissatisfaction with how hatred and competition has dominated the gospel music industry.

Speaking in an interview on Okay FM with Abeiku Santana on the Ekwansodwodwo show, Selina Boateng lamented that some gospel musicians regard themselves supreme over others and refuse to support others.

She cited an example that when gospel acts are about to perform on stage, some of them turn sabotage others’ performances on stage.

She also recalled that there have been instances where she was being awarded but some of her colleagues claimed that she never deserved it with others also accusing her of paying a bribe for the award.

Selina also expressed her disappointment in the Gospel industry that is meant to be Christ-like and bring people together under the umbrella of God but unfortunately, it is full of hate and unnecessary competition.

In the course of the interview, Selina Boateng also said that she has been following some gospel musicians on social media but they have refused to return the gesture and follow back because of pride and the perception that they are superior to her.
