It can be confirmed that Ghanaians prefer to watch the popular reality show Date Rush to listening to President Akufo-Addo deliver his address on the nation’s fight against Coronavirus.
Yesterday’s numbers give proof to the fact that Ghanaians have somewhat grown weary listening to the President’s address or have lost interest in his speech and as a result ignored him.
The figures at the time the President was delivering his pre-recorded speech on Sunday, May 16 2021 show that Ghanaians preferred watching Date Rush on TV3 to anything else, not even the President’s speech.
There were about 2.4K people who tuned in to watch the president but when it got to the start of the Date Rush show, about 13.1K tuned in within minutes to watch.
This clearly shows that Ghanaian do not find the President’s speech interesting and as a result put little importance on it. They prefer watching Date Rush which provides them with some level of entertainment.
