Ghanaian Gospel Diva, Patience Nyarko has said that the main reason why most Christians undergo fasting is because of their inability to provide food at that time.

Speaking in a recent interview with Happy FM’s Nyansa Boakwa on the Nyansa Pii show, Patience Nyarko said she has also fallen victim to fasting because of hunger.
She said that most people being seen praying in football parks and other places in the name of undergoing fasting and prayer session are not to be believed because most of them are actually hungry.
Narrating her journey to becoming one of the best gospel singers in Ghana, Patience Nyarko revealed that she once slept in a church during her hustling days.
She said her journey to the top was a very rough one. She added that she encountered some tough times during the past before becoming what she is today.
“Staying in a church and not being able to afford food, I just has to pretend to be undergoing fasting so I don’t feel the impact of the hunger”, she said.
She also said that she has gone hungry for two weeks all in the name of fasting but the grace of the Lord kept her going.
