Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Ghana’s Minister of Communications and Digitalization, has opened up about her past life when she was way younger.

According to her, she experimented with the practice of lesbianism in her secondary school days while growing up as a girl.
Speaking on StarrChat on Wednesday, April 28 Ursula Owusu revealed that to her, that stage of her life was just a passing phase in which she had to explore her sexuality.
She added that even though she was attracted to the opposite sex, she just wanted to have a feel of how it was to be with the same sex.
“Most of us who went through the boarding system would have had some exposure particularly in girls’ schools and in some mixed schools as well with ‘supism’. We did it. I don’t make any apologies about it, but I like my men.” Ursula said.
To her, she was happy that during the time when she was busily exploring her sexuality with girls, there was nothing like social media, or else it would have been a permanent record she would have had to live with the rest of her life.
As a reminder, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful is a lawyer, women’s rights activist, and Ghanaian parliamentarian representing Ablekuma West constituency.
She has been the Minister of Communications for Ghana since the assumption of power by the New Patriotic Party in January 2017.
