Highlife musician Afriyie Wutah has shown concern over long advertisements on primetime televisions which seems to have become the norm for these Tv stations.

Wutah in a Facebook post called for television stations to limit the time they dedicate to adverts.

This comes a few days after a video of Kennedy Agyapong threatening to sack the staff of NET 2 television for showing 15 minutes ads before his talk show popped up.

He said in the video that it was not prudent to show all the ads at a go when they can be spread out in the course of the programme.

Afriyie in his Facebook post expressed discontent over long adverts shown o Tvs.

“Watching a primetime TV show can be very annoying lately. Producers think so little of the audience that they think the audience would tolerate 12 minutes of advertising for every 15 minutes of content. Truth is, most viewers don’t stay during the commercial breaks,” he wrote.

“I can understand the need for advertising on commercial TV channels, but the recent increase in the number of minutes permitted per hour seems to be just too much!” he added.
