In his submission, he said;

“I like to hang around with friends. I sometimes deny to my patients that I am the musician they know.

I think a lot of people appreciate my music craft because they know I double as a doctor. Your ability to distinguish between notes helps you appreciate heart sounds better.”

In the same interview, he spoke about him being a musician as well as Ghana’s prospects at the Grammys.

“I will describe myself as a musician and not a reggae artiste per se. The media space made for roots reggae in Ghana has shrunk considerably. It appears because we speak the truth in our songs, we’ve been shunned by some corporate companies and stuff. Meanwhile, we support Lucky Dube and the likes.

We’ve had a GRAMMY nomination in Ghana before on the merit of the artiste himself. Not because he jumped on someone’s album. That is Rocky Dawuni. And we close our eyes to it? It’s like we just like to put our second foot forward instead of the first.”

Knii Lante has two studio albums to his names and some of his songs are When You Love Someone, Baby Take Good Care, Thinking Out Loud (Ed Sheeran Cover), You and Open Mic.
