Mr Drew who is signed onto the Highly Spiritual record label has responded to claims that he has been stealing songs of other acts.

“Kuami Eugene started stealing songs before me, he has a scholarship in it” in a reply to Abeiku Santana who said the two of them have been steaking songs.
According to Mr Drew, Kuami Eugene paved the way for them “but the thing is that we don’t steal songs, it is all about creativity”.
It could be recalled that Mr Drew received backlash in 2020 over song theft accusation after he released ‘Eat’ which was deleted on YouTube over copyright reasons as the song matched that of Rotimi’s ‘Love Riddim’ track.
However, Mr Drew explains that it wasn’t theft because the song was released as a “cover” which is accepted in the music fraternity. Watch the video below to hear more from him.
Besides, Kuami Eugene has been accused severally over song sampling since he registered his name in the music. Acts like Adane Best once accused Kuami for sampling his song.
