The Accra High Court has set date for the hearing of the appeal filed by the lawyers of actress, Rosemond Alade Brown, well known as Akuapem Poloo.

Recall, on 30th June 2020, the actress shared a nude photo of herself and her seven-year-old son on his birthday.
She captioned the picture; “I am naked in front of you because this is how naked I was, giving birth to you, so in case you find me lying somewhere don’t pass by, but see me as your mom who brought you to life.”
The actress faced serious backlash from critics but things took an unexpected turn in recent times.
The actress was jailed after she pleaded guilty to all the three charges leveled against her at the court. She was charged with the publication of obscene material, domestic violence by undermining the integrity of her seven-year-old son and detracting his dignity.
She was sentenced to 90 days in prison by Her Honor Christiana Cann after she pleaded guilty to all charges.
Her legal team led by Lawyer Andrew Kudzo Vortia filed for an appeal after he sentence and today, the court has set date for the hearing of her appeal.
A report filed by GNA said the two applications would be heard by Criminal Court One (High Court division) on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
In the appeal, Rosemond Brown held that the sentence meted out to her, was harsh.
A section of Ghanaians has also appealed to the court that her sentence was too harsh for her crime and pleads for a softer punishment for the actress.
