Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has been included on the New York Times list for her song, ‘Koroba’ which is for their edition of the Best Songs of 2020. The song sits at the eighth spot.
The global media organization describes Savage’s Koroba as “a crisp Afrobeats groove with hints of Middle Eastern modes, besieged by sudden salvos of percussion. They further added that “the Nigerian songwriter Tiwa Savage suavely mocks corrupt, immoral politicians.”

Taking to Instagram to acknowledge the honour, the pop diva writes:
“Another 1. #Koroba no8 on @nytimes best songs of 2020 Thank you Jon ❤️ and to everyone streaming, doing dance videos, creating great content to my music.
