Ghana’s music scene rarely sees female artistes beefing each other but a recent one was ignited by singer Sista Afia who released a latest single titled ‘WMT’ with the lyrical content speculated to be jabs shot at some female artistes, particularly singer cum actress Vanessa Deborah a.k.a Sister Derby.
Other female artistes like Freda Rhymz also seized the opportunity to launch themselves into the ”beef” arena after hearing Sista Afia’s single.
Just as the female singers were burying the hatchet and like the beef among them was simmering down, rap goddess Eno Barony has sought to revive what seemed like phasing out by releasing a rap freestyle throwing shade at Sista Afia and a host of female artists in the Ghanaian music industry.
Eno Barony dropped a banger today, May 1, 2020; prepared hot and fully loaded as she advises her colleagues not to start something they can’t finish.Â
In her latest track, she is heard re-echoing her viral punchline “Sista Afia stirred the rap soup to find proper beef to chew but all she got was wele”, to wit singer Sista Afia started a fight thinking she would get a better opponent but was served a weakling where the ‘wele’ subtly refers to Freda Rhymz and Akuapem Poloo who replied Sista Afia immediately after the latter’s single was out.
