Africa’s most decorated rapper, Sarkodie has recounted how his dream to collaborate on a song with veteran hiplife icon, Obrafour backfired some years back.
During a recent interview with Dentaa on her Dentaa Show, the BET award winner disclosed that, while coming up he once contacted Obrafour for a feature but the veteran Hiplife musician didn’t give him the green light.
According to Sarkodie in his narration, he used his grandmother’s phone to call Obrafour after he got his number from his niece [Ama] who was then schooling at the Achimota Preparatory School.

He revealed that he mentioned his old stage name which he even finds difficult to recall during the phone conversation when Obrafour asked his name.
King Sark explained that the only response he got from Obrafour was that he was travelling and would get in touch with him when he comes back; something which never happened.
Sarkodie further stated that he now understands why it happened that way. According to him, most artistes do have pressures on them and the ‘Ako’ hitmaker might have been busy at that time.
