President Akufo Addo has charged Authorities in the Federal Republic of Germany to as a matter of importance treat African migrants humanely even if they breach German laws in their quest to seek greener pastures.
Delivering the keynote address at the 5th German-African Economic Forum, under the theme “African Markets, Potentials and opportunities for German Businesses”, in Dortmund, Germany, being held under the auspices of the Minister-President of North Rhine-Westphalia, Herr Armin Laschet, President Akufo Addo said the rather terrible economies of Africa are the very reasons why young Africans are embarking on dangerous travels to better their lot in Europe.
However, the migration challenges on the continent is no reason for the West to mishandle such young and daring African.
Economic Ambitions of African
In his 15 minutes speech, President Akufo Addo emphasized that African countries can no longer meet the needs of its peoples if it continues to produce raw materials for the use of the rest of the world. He added that the time is now for the African continent to industrialize to manufacture end user products for the rest of the world.
