The authorities at the Police Hospital in Accra say, they have put in place measures to receive more patients who are trooping there as a result of the strike action by members of the Ghana Medical Association.
Briefing the Minister of Health, Mrs. Sherry Ayittey and the Interior Minister, Mr. Kwesi Ahwoi who toured the hospital, the Deputy Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Mahamadu Zakaria said the hospital has enough beds to receive more patients.
It has also set up a fully equipped mobile van that will attend to the patients.
The ministers were at the hospital to assess the state of its preparedness in the wake of the strike action which has affected some public hospitals.
