He’s been splitting his time between Sydney and his home in Ireland for the past two years, and now Ronan Keating is said to be making the move permanent.
Fresh from confirming that his 14-year marriage to wife Yvonne is over, the singer, 35, is understood to be relocating to Australia full time.
Keating has been working as a judge on the Australian version of The x Factor since 2010, and spends as much as six months of the year there.
Move Down Under: Ronan Keating, pictured with estranged wife Yvonne on Bondi Beach, is reported to be moving to Sydney full time following the couple’s split
The reported move would mean the Boyzone star would be 11,000 miles and a day-long plane trip away from his children Jack, 13, Marie, 11 and Ali, six.
The time and distance spent away from home are believed to have contributed to the split as the couple struggled to truly repaire their marriage following Ronan’s affair with a backing dancer two years ago.
Ronan is currently in Dublin where he is recording a new album and was pictured arriving at his home with Yvonne, 37, yesterday shortly before announcing their separation over Twitter.
A source told the Daily Mirror: ‘Ronan’s career has really taken off in Australia. He’s become a big star out there and he loves the lifestyle.’

Auditions for the Australian X Factor kick off in May, and Keating will be required in Sydney for the next six months.
His fellow judge Mel B is today also reported to be considering make her part-time life in Australia permanent.
Mel joined the panel last year, replacing Natalie Imbruglia. Ronan and Mel star alongside Australian singers Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Guy Sebastian.
The news of Ronan and Yvonne’s split come after a difficult two years following Ronan’s affair with Francine Cornell, which was revealed in 2010.

Announcement: Both Ronan and Yvonne took to Twitter to confirm rumours they have gone their separate ways
Former model Yvonne revealed today they decided to go their separate ways last year, which means their split would have come just days after they attended the Emerald & Ivy Ball in London as a family.
She wrote: ‘Sadly, our marriage ended late last
year. We kept this news private to give everybody involved time to
adjust.Thank you for your support x.’
And her estranged husband, 35, tweeted: ‘Sadly our news is true. Thank u all for your support. Yvonne and I
still love and care for each other and want to protect our kids. X.’
Despite their split, they did managed to spend New Year’s together in Scotland with their children, according to photos on Yvonne’s Twitter page.
Other woman: Yvonne was heartbroken in 2010 when it was revealed the singer had a seven-month affair with dancer Francine Cornell
Yvonne had tried for the last two years to work through her husband’s infidelity, but the strain proved too much for the pair.
According to reports, the couple had mainly tried to save their marriage for their children, but their efforts were in vain.
Ronan’s seven month affair with dancer Francine Cornell started after they met during Boyzone’s tour, which began in May and June 2009.
Yvonne discovered her husband had a secret second phone and decided to go through the messages.
Last appearance: The couple attended the Emerald & Ivy Ball in London as a family just days before splitting last December
There she found intimate correspondence between the singer and the then 26-year-old Cornell.
Yvonne reportedly rang Francine after she found the texts, only to be told by the dancer: ‘We’re in love.’
Heartbroken Yvonne then confronted Ronan who admitted the affair.
A source said at the time: ‘There were some quite suggestive texts that left little to the imagination. Yvonne went ballistic and told him it was over there and then.’

However, a few months later, Yvonne was
spotted holding hands with Ronan in Australia, after seemingly giving
him another chance.
After begging for forgiveness, Ronan
was let back into the family home in Dublin.
When Ronan swam across the Irish Sea
for charity last September, his proud wife Yvonne was waiting to
congratulate him with a loving kiss in front of the paparazzi.
In an interview with the Mail On Sunday’s Live magazine last year, Ronan admitted his regrets over the affair.

He said: ‘I make mistakes. I’m definitely not comfortable with the mistakes that I’ve made and I’m still trying to resolve them.
‘I did make a mistake. And I’m still trying to make up for that. I love my wife and my family is everything to me. Right now I’m trying to be the man I want to be. I’m trying to get there.
‘The people I love the most have been hurt – my family. I take the blame for that. Everyone is responsible for their own actions.’
However, with his work commitments on The X Factor, it was difficult for the relationship to survive.
A spokesperson for Keating is yet to respond to Mail Online’s request for comment.
