The video which has haunted Tulisa Contostavlos over the past few weeks has gone on sale in Soho shops.
It is being advertised with fluorescent signs reading ‘Tulisa sex tape sold here’ on boards outside shops in the area.
The film shows the star engaged in an intimate act with her ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards.
Tulisa has previously said of the incident: ‘When you share an intimate moment with someone that you love and trust you never imagine for one minute that footage may at any point be shared with the rest of the UK.’
For sale: The video of Tulisa engaging in an intimate act with her ex-boyfriend is available to buy in Soho shops
Naturally the news that the footage is now available on DVD will come as a shock for Tulisa, who has been trying to put the whole thing behind her.
The video has even beat Tulisa’s single, Young- now available to pre-order- to the shops.
Understandably, the entire affair appears to have put quite a dent in the star’s confidence already.
Having attended Drake’s show at the O2,
Tulisa was reportedly seen looking embarrassed backstage when she bumped
into the JLS boys.
Top of the list: Vendors are clearly anticipating healthy sales of the video
A source told The Sun: ‘Tulisa was really looking forward to escaping all the embarrassment of the past week with a good night out.’
‘She knew the JLS boys were going to be there but felt really awkward when she walked in because she presumed the lads had seen the tape.’
‘She said a quiet ‘Hello’ to them — but then went straight out the back door, let out a big squeal and took a deep breath before going back in to face them.’
Embarrassed: Tulisa Contostavlos was reportedly caught looking awkward on her first night out since the incident
The singer reportedly went home early on her first big night out since the embarrassment on Wednesday.
Tulisa’s former lover turned the tables on the singer on Monday, claiming it was her idea to make a sex tape, even implying it was filmed on her mobile phone.
Justin Edwards, whose stage name is MC Ultra, came out of hiding and broke his silence in a packed courtroom over accusations he leaked the explicit footage.
In extraordinary scenes at London’s High Court the 28-year-old denied he released the footage, saying it would have been ‘ungentlemanly’ and he had been ‘brought up better than that’.
Denial: Tulisa Contostavlos’ former lover MC Ultra told a judge at London’s High Court he didn’t leak the sex tape and alleged it was her idea to film it
Edwards showed up to the court room dressed in a suit and aviator shades as he was flanked by security.
The N-Dubz star, who was not present in court, has started legal proceedings to sue her former beau over breach of privacy.
And she received a small triumph in the battle today as a judge ruled that an order banning the publication of the footage should continue.
But while she has managed to keep the distribution of the six-minute clip at bay for now, she faces more woes as Edwards opened up in court about the film.
Taking it further: Tulisa Contostavlos is said to be suing Justin Edwards for £100,000 over the leaked sex tape
He alleged it was Tulisa’s idea to film the video in the first place and told the judge that Contostavlos had ‘persuaded me that we should film ourselves’ and ‘seemed to be implying’ that filming took place on the singer’s phone.
Details of his defence to the singer’s allegations were revealed at a preliminary court hearing today.
A judge was told they’d enjoyed an ‘on and off relationship’ which ended at the end of 2009.
The X Factor judge’s lawyers made legal moves to seek an injunction rather quickly once news of the tape had spread.
The injunction prohibits anyone from
using, publishing or communicating or disclosing to any other person…
all or any part of the film.
And while Edwards has vehemently denied he
leaked the footage, the 23-year-old N-Dubz star has also reportedly
made moves to sue Edwards, whose stage name is MC Ultra, for sharing the
footage.
Earlier this week ,The Sun reported the singer has called in her lawyers to seek damages for up to £100,000.
Dapper: He insisted he thought it would be ‘ungentlemanly’ to release the footage and had been ‘brought up better than that’
Legal papers were apparently served at a house in West Hampstead, North London, where Edwards mother lives.
However, the 28-year-old, who goes by the name MC Ultra wasn’t there at the time and is said to be hiding out in the West Country since the video was up for sale online for £3.90 on Monday.
A source close to Edwards told the
newspaper: ‘She’s suing for up to £100,000. This latest move by Tulisa
has really unnerved and unsettled him. It’s serious stuff and he’s got
to take it seriously. It’s a lot of pressure for him.’
Tulisa opened up about the video last week, when she posted a video online and opened up to her fans about her devastation over the leak.
Awkward: The singer can be seen doing some very suggestive actions in her new music video
But despite the London-born star
owning up to being the female in the footage, one person who is still
shocked by the whole situation is Tulisa’s stepmother Melanie Vondrau.
The
39-year-old, was married to the star’s father Plato for ten years up
until 2009, claims that her ‘heart just broke’ when she heard the news.
‘A young girl who respects herself
would choose her partner very wisely,’ she told The Sun. ‘She is clearly
not making the right partner choices.
The housewife went on to say that she thinks Tulisa’s broken home is to blame for her choice of men.
‘She needs strong, loving parental
guidance. Unfortunately for Tulisa, her mum is not very well and she has
got a father who is a distant character.
As they were: Tulisa dated Edwards on and off a few years ago
‘I feel she is a victim of her childhood – the classic little girl who wants her father’s love.’
These latest comments will no doubt add to the singer’s difficult week after her fans took to Twitter to accuse her orchestrating the scenario to grab their attention.
Just days after the sex tape was leaked online, the singer released a rather suggestive video for her debut single We Are Young.
As
she sings the catchy lyrics, including ‘forgive me for what I have
done’, Tulisa can be seen licking up ice cream with her tongue.
Fun times: The singer can be seen in the video having a party and getting up to mischief with her friends
Party time: Tulisa and her friends look like they are having a laugh as they jump around and have a pillow fight
The
single has been getting mixed reviews, and some fans
have spoken out about the timing of her Youtube video.
The song features some hard partying
antics from Tulisa and opens with the line: ‘Forgive me for what I have
done, cos I’m young, yeah I’m young.
‘I don’t mean to frighten you off, it’s just fun, it’s just fun.’
After
We Are Young was played on Radio One by Chris Moyles, one fan wrote:
‘Is it just coincidence that the Tulisa video ”scandal” is the same
week she is publicising her debut single?’
Another person said: ‘Waitttt, tulisa’s clip gets leaked 2 days before she releases her first single #publicitystunt’.
We Are Young is an electro pop song produced by Tulisa’s ex-boyfriend and band mate Richard ‘Fazer’ Rawson.
The female boss: Tulisa filmed the video last month in Miami, Florida, and the song has been produced by Richard ‘Fazer’ Rawson
It
has been compared in sound to the Rihanna and Calvin Harris hit We
Found Love, and the video, which was shot in Miami, last month, shows
several sides to the singer.
The single is all about being young and making mistakes that you can learn from, and features some poignant lyrics.
The north London-born star sings: ‘I’ll make mistake that I learn from cos I’m young. yeah I’m young.
‘I’m sorry I’m not even done, cos I’m young yeah I’m young.
‘Don’t worry bout what I’ll become, it’s just fun, it’s just fun.’
