She started her year off badly after receiving a series of stinging reviews for her debut album Born To Die.
Then earlier this month she was mocked for her below par performance on Saturday Night Live.
However, Lana Del Rey had the last laugh last night after picking up her first Brit Award which capped a remarkable comeback for the American singer.

The 25-year-old received the gong for International Breakthrough Act at The O2 yesterday and was clearly very emotional when getting the award.
Lana looked amazing in a floor-length red dress that was both revealing and classy at the same time.
Her low-cut dress accentuated her curves and she wore matching nail varnish to compliment the outfit with her flowing hair down.

As soon as music producer and Black Eyed Peas front man Will.i.am announced her name, she leaped up from her chair and rushed to the stage.
With her eyes watering, the singer-songwriter made a heartfelt acceptance speech and thanked her fans.
She said: ‘This award means much more to me than you know and I just wanna say that without the support of everyone is this room and everyone in the UK I’d really be lost so thank you, I love you.’

Last year teen heartthrob Justin Bieber won the award and if his career is anything to go by, Lana could be in for a great twelve months.
The starlet stayed out till late celebrating her win but changed into something a little more comfortable before getting back to her hotel at around 2am.
Despite her album getting mixed reviews the record become the fastest-selling of 2102 so far.
According to figures from the Official Charts Company, Born To Die achieved sales of over 117,000 copies in its first week of release.
